The National Monuments Service's description
Lower down and on N side of this valley and directly overlooking Lough Sheeauns. The remains comprise a ruined chamber (L c. 2m, Wth c. 1.3m) aligned roughly N-S; N end is incorporated in a roadside fence. A tall portal-like stone is embedded in the fence at NW. A displaced roofstone rests against E side. The tomb is very probably of the portal-tomb class. See also GA022-006----. (de Valera and Ó Nualláin 1972, 8)
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'. Compiled by Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993).
