The National Monuments Service's description
Recorded by Scally (2014, 113, Figs. 5.41 and 5.64, Pl. 5.42), this rectangular cross-base (L 0.52m; Wth 0.52m; H 0.17m) was inserted into the base of a wall directly in front of the entrance to ‘Cell A’, the clochan (GA021-026012-) to the N of the church (GA021-026014-) on High Island. The socket (0.18m x 0.06m; D 0.07m) on its upper face is centrally placed.
