The National Monuments Service's description
Just above HWM on seashore to SW of An Trá Mhór. Owing to erosion, all that survives are two rectangular grave-like hummocks (L c. 6m, Wth 1.5m, H 0.6m), aligned E-W. A number of human bones were visible in the surrounding sand. Mistakenly classified as a CBG in SMR for Co. Galway (pers. comm. T. Robinson).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'. Compiled by Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993).
