The National Monuments Service's description
In pastureland. A hachured area marked on the 1931 edition of the OS 6-inch map, and named 'Quarry (Disused)' on the OS 1:2500 plan (surveyed 1912-16), proved on inspection in 1984 to be a disused sand pit.
