The National Monuments Service's description
In N part of the small square graveyard which is centrally placed with an early ecclesiastical enclosure (GA018-027001-). All that survives are the grassed-over foundation lines of a rectangular church ((E-W; L 12.8m, Wth 8.6m) with traces of wall-facing visible intermittently. Gaps towards W end of N and S side-walls possibly indicate the location of doorways. A holy well (GA018-029----) lies 100m to SSW. (O'Flanagan 1927, Vol. 1, 97; Gwynn and Hadcock 1970, 395; Melvin c. 1971, 14-15; )
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
