The National Monuments Service's description

On the flat summit of an earthwork (GA018-010002-). It comprises a shallow subrectangular depression (N-S 6.5m), enclosed on N, E and S sides by a slight bank. Numerous small set stones occupy the interior, the top of the enclosing bank and its inner edge. A few large unhewn limestone slabs are also visible and a number of bushes bedeck the monument.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
