The National Monuments Service's description

On S-facing slope of a rise in grassland. Very poorly preserved subcircular rath (NW-SE c. 45m, NE-SW c. 40m) defined by a degraded scarp and external fosse. The scarp survives from NE through S to WSW, and the fosse from E through S to SW. A field bank cuts the monument at ESE and WSW. Abutting the scarp at SW is a CBG (GA017-152001-). (Neary 1914, 112, no. 44)

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
