The National Monuments Service's description

In grassland. A hachured area marked on the 1932 edition of the OS 6-inch map, and named ‘Gravel Pit’ on the OS 1:2500 plan (surveyed 1912-16), was inspected in 1984. No visible surface trace of it survived as the area had been extensively cleared. There was also no visible surface trace of the school, named ‘Strawberry Hill School’, shown immediately to its E on the OS 6-inch map.
