The National Monuments Service's description

In pastureland on a low terraced spur that overlooks the former floodplain of the River Clare, which flows S c. 120m to the W. This small fairly well-preserved subcircular house (int. dims. 5.8m NNE-SSW; 5.2m NNW-SSE) is defined by a partially collapsed low double-faced stone wall (av. Wth 1.5m; int. H 0.6-0.8m; ext. H 0.6m). An entrance gap (Wth 1.6m) at NNE is flanked on its W side by a large upright stone (H 0.3m; L 0.8m; Wth 0.2m) set transversally. A possible structure (GA016-133002-) is visible c. 2m to the W.
