The National Monuments Service's description

In grassland. Marked on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure (D c. 30m) but on 3rd ed. (1932) it is shown as almost square in plan (L/Wth c. 30m). The monument has since been levelled. It was cut by a field boundary at N and S, to E of which faint traces of a bank are visible curving from N through E to S (D 20m). No visible surface trace survives to W of the wall where farm buildings have been erected.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
