On a rise in pastureland overlooking 'Rathbaun Turlough' to the SW. Named 'Urracly Ho.' on the 1838 edition of the OS 6-inch map and depicted as T-shaped dwelling aligned NNE-SSW; on the 1916 edition it is shown as an unroofed rectangular building. Most of the house (L 14.5m; Wth 5.6m; Wall T 0.6m) has been levelled but the S wall and the returns of the E (L 6.5m) and W (L 4.4m) walls survive to a height of two storeys. Only the lower courses of the N wall survive at its junction with the E wall. The house is built of roughly worked stone with a course limestone mortar; some red brick is also visible. A rectangular doorway is centrally placed in the S wall and internally an alcove is visible on each side of it. The edge of a window embrasure is visible on the 1st floor of the E wall. Beam slots on the E and W walls indicate the 1st floor level. No other architectural features are evident and there is no trace of internal or external rendering. A field wall overlies the levelled line of the E wall. According to local information, the house was once used as a barracks.
