The National Monuments Service's description

In low-lying grassland. Poorly preserved conjoined rath. The N enclosure (E-W 31m, N-S 27m), subcircular in plan, is defined by a bank, and by a quarried-out scarp from NE to SE. The S enclosure (ENE-WSW 30m), irregular in plan, is defined by a bank except at NW and SE where a scarp forms the enclosing element. There is a souterrain (GA015-047001-) in its interior. A trackway runs between the two enclosures.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
