The National Monuments Service's description
On a rise in undulating grassland. A very poorly preserved roughly circular enclosure (D c. 29m) defined by a bank of earth and stone from SE through W to NW. A field wall cuts the monument at N and SE, and only faint traces of the enclosing element are visible to E of it. The interior, which is flat and featureless, is slightly lower than the exterior. A raised trackway (L 18.5m, Wth 4.6m, H 0.6m), defined by two parallel lines of stones, runs off the monument at NW.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
