The National Monuments Service's description
This monument is longitudinally incorporated in the possible remnants of the bank of a circular enclosure (GA009-002002-). It consists of a small narrow chamber (L >2m, Wth c. 0.7m) aligned E-W, formed by two sidestones and covered by a single roofstone. The tops of the sidestones slope down from W to E. A partially concealed stone to E may be a backstone. (de Valera and Ó Nualláin 1972, 3-4)
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'. Compiled by Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993).
