The National Monuments Service's description
No visible surface trace survived of a hachured feature marked on the 1930 edition, and named 'Gravel Pit (Disused)' on the OS 25-inch plan, when inspected in 1984. The area was covered with gorse. Probably of 19th/20th century date.
