Some 150m S of a ringfort (GA006-076----). Poorly preserved almost circular rath (E-W 29m, N-S 28m) defined by three banks of earth and stone and two intervening fosses. The inner bank and fosse are visible all round. The middle bank survives from NNE through S to W. The outer fosse and bank are present from SE through S to WSW. The monument has been quarried out at SE. Possible entrance at E. In N half of the interior, a subrectangular structure (E-W; L 9m, Wth 5m) is defined by a low grassed-over bank of earth and stone; to SW a circular hollow (D 4.5m) is surrounded by a low bank of similar construction; possible houses.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
