The National Monuments Service's description
On a S-facing slope in grassland. Marked on OS 6-inch maps as a circular enclosure (D c. 35m). What survives is an inner scarp, intervening fosse and outer bank from W to N. No visible surface trace survives elsewhere as the monument has been extensively quarried at S and a road cuts it at N. An enclosure (GA006-048----) lies c. 60m to NW.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
