The National Monuments Service's description
An enclosed roughly circular tree copse marked on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map proved on inspection in 1990 to be a natural gorse-covered hillock. Named 'Cnocanroe' on the 1930 edition of the OS 6-inch map.
