The National Monuments Service's description
Archaeological test excavations in 1998 revealed evidence for a settlement site in the form of post-holes and wall slots (Reid 2000, 66-67). Artefacts associated with the settlement included pottery and worked flints. A charcoal sample produced a date of 3670+-50 BP.
