The National Monuments Service's description

The truncated remains of a tower house are incorporated into a large dwelling house known as Lehaunstown Park (Swan 1998, 163-8). It is located on ground that slopes gently from W to E on the lower slopes of Ticknock Hill. This is the castle mentioned in the Civil Survey and associated with James Goodman who acted as Provost Marshall in the army of the Confederation (Simington 1945, 275). It forms the core of the house with thick walls, forming a small, rectangular building (L 9.5m, Wth 6.5m, Wall T 1.5m) with a base batter.
