The National Monuments Service's description

There are no surface remains of St Comgall's Church which according to Ball (1906, III, 81) stood on the left hand side of the gateway leading to Shankill castle. There is uncertainty regarding the precise location of the site. It is situated at the foot of the Dublin Mountains.
