The National Monuments Service's description

Located in green area to the west of residential areas of Hillview Drive overlooking a small stream. A holy busy or a 'sceach' marking or close to a holy well (DU023-027002-; Stokes 1895, 5; Daly 1957, 21-22). The well was piped and later removed in the early 1980s (pers com Liam Clare/Foxrock Local History Club).
