The National Monuments Service's description

Situated at the N end of Dalkey town at the junction of Castle Street and Ormeau Dive. The pillar-stone is located within a rectangular walled-in graveyard raised above the level of the road. A pillar-stone identified by O'Reilly (1901, 147) close to the W doorway was not located. It was described as a narrow stone, square in plan (H 0.61m, 0.23m by 0.23m).
