The National Monuments Service's description
According to the property supplement in the Irish Times (06 June 1996) Laburnum Cottage on Harmony Avenue in Donnybrook dates from the late 17th century and is considered to be one of the earliest houses in the area. In 2003 archaeological testing on an extension to the cottage produced no archaeological material (Mc Quade, M.2006, 118).
