Ring-ditch

Placed centrally within a ceremonial enclosure (DU021-111----) this regular circular enclosure, illustrated as an incomplete ring-ditch was first reported in 2018 in a geophyscial survey (Target Archaeological Geophysics, 2018). It is depicted as an incomplete circuit, running from SSE, through W to NNE, which appears to have been encroached upon and disturbed by the adjacent cairn DU021-113---- (see attached image DU021-113_01). The ring-ditch encloses an area 25m in diameter presenting according to the geophysical report as a series of concentric positive and negative curving responses (ibid.) with no surface expression. Within this enclosure are concentrations of high response suggestive of archaeological activity. The monument lies just SW of DU021-113----, a cairn, and DU-021-038 a windmill. It also lies within another enclosure DU021-016---- which may represent a hillfort.
