The National Monuments Service's description

Archaeological testing in 2001 identified heat cracked stones which probably derived from a fulacht fiadh (Tobin 2003, 91). This site was excavated in 2003. A narrow trough was revealed (L 1.2m, Wth 0.80m). No artefacts were recovered (Tobin 2006, 107).
