The National Monuments Service's description
Archaeological monitoring of a housing site in 2001 revealed a badly destroyed trough of a fulacht fiadh. The trough (L1.56m, Wth 1.5m, D 0.27m) contained heat shattered sandstones. Analysis of the charcoal revealed the presence of alder , ash, holly and elm (Doyle 2003, 138).
