Ogham stone (present location)

The National Monuments Service's description

This is the present location of 1 of 6 ogham stones (CO085-067008- with CO085-067003-; CO085-067004-; CO085-067005-; CO085-067006-; CO085-067007-) discovered in 1846 built into souterrain (CO085-067002-), in the SW quadrant of a ringfort (CO085-067001-), at Ballyhank, Co. Cork. According to Macalister (1945, 100-1, no. 102), the original inscription on this stone (1.1m; 0.3m x 0.3m) has almost entirely been erased; on 'the dexter angle' is another inscription, which he describes as 'a mere graffito....roughly scratched' and gives as DILOGONN, the same reading as McManus (1991, 65).
