The National Monuments Service's description
The original provenance of this ogham stone is not recorded (see KE100-043----). It stood in Graves' garden at Parknasilla House for many years prior to being presented to the National Museum of Ireland (Reg. No. 1931: 432). It measures 1.1m x 0.3m x 0.18m, and is inscribed on one of its obtuse angles. The worn and damaged inscription was read by Macalister (1945, 217, no. 223) as: ANM VINNAGITLET . . . ; confirmed by McManus (1991, 65). Macalister was not, however, entirely convinced of this reading. The E is represented by the X-forfid. (O'Sullivan and Sheehan 1996, no. 920)
