The National Monuments Service's description

This is the present location for the stone sculpture of a horseman (see OF036-062002-) found in 1884 on top of Knocknaman hill, Co. Offaly, in what was described as a large rath (OF036-062001-) surrounded by large stones which appeared to have been burnt (Cooke 1875, 154).
