The National Monuments Service's description
The present graveyard in Donnybrook Village is reputedly on the site of an an early convent site associated with St. Broc and later attached to the church of Taney (Ball 1903, 57). This graveyard was the burying place of the Fitzwilliams in the 16th-century (op cit 58). The earliest tombstone in the graveyard today commemorates Thomas Jordan and Catherine Hanon 1629 (Parkinson 1993).
