The National Monuments Service's description

According to D'Alton (1838, 697), 'It appears from a document of 1496, that a cross was then
standing in Crumlin'. Joyce (1912, 195) mentions the existence of a cross which stood in Crumlin Village in the 15th-century. Ball suggest that it may have stood at the junction of Dolphin's Barn and the Drimnagh Road. Not precisely located.
