The National Monuments Service's description

According to Archbishop Alen there was formerly a chapel of St Clement's situated in the vicinity of the Steine between the Liffey and the Augustinian abbey of All Hallows (McNeill 1950, 56). In one of the Deeds in the register of All Hallows it is described as lying 'before the Gate' of All Hallows (Butler 1845, 28; Bradley & King 1987, 2, 132, FMD map 1978, G2; Clarke 2002, 20). There are no visible surface remains.
