The National Monuments Service's description
The site isidentified as the site of the medieval school of St Thomas Aquinas. Excavations in 1998 on thenorthern portion of the site extending from Bridgefoot Street to Island Street contained archaeological soils. In places there is c. 2.5m of archaeological deposits. (O'Rourke 2000, 45-46).
