The National Monuments Service's description

Known as the 'Kings Mills' these watermills were constructed in the early 13th-century in Dublin Castle. They were still standing in the 17th century (Gilbert 1854-9, 2, 263, Bradley & King 1987, 1, 39). The site has been located to the lower yard of Dublin Castle (FMD map 1978, N4). There are no visible surface remains (Clarke 2002, 26, G6).
