The National Monuments Service's description

In 1868 burials were discovered in a pit on the S bank of the river Liffey (Frazer 1866-9, 336-40). The remains comprised a cist burial with a cinerary urn, an unenclosed cinerary burial and associated food vessel (Waddell 1970, 116; Kavanagh 1973, 546; Waddell 1990, 84-6).
