The National Monuments Service's description
St. Brigid's Church of Ireland church in Castleknock village was built on the site of a church (DU017-008001-) attached to the Benedictine Priory of Little Malvern (Ball 1920, 33) now stands in the centre of a large rectangular-shaped graveyard (dims. c. 66m N-S x 85m E-W) enclosed by a stone wall with entrance gate to E. Graveyard contains memorials from the post-1700 period onwards (NLI, PD 1958 TX 39). Possible priory church (DU017-008003-) of the Benedictine Order stood on the site of the present church or in close proximity within the graveyard. Graveyard not listed in the Dublin SMR (1988) and listed as DU017-00802- in the Dublin RMP (1998).
