The National Monuments Service's description

Reportedly the site of an early church founded by St Berach in the 6th century, the ruins of the Chapel of Mone, part of which date from the late 12th-early 13th century are visible (Fingal Historic Graves Project, 2008). Access from the coast road at Sutton Strand. The remains of the church are located on high ground to the southeast of a much expanded graveyard (DU015-021002-). This church has a nave and chancel with as aisle. The western gable is gone, infilled with concrete and metal railings. Built of roughly coursed masonry which has been extensively ribbon-pointed. The nave is rectangular in plan (L 9.80m, Wth 5.10m). There is a blocked up doorway in the north wall is overgrown and two round segmental arched openings into south aisle from nave. Chancel arch is blocked. The east window is a tall pointed arched example. Round arched opening with chamfered jambs in north wall of chancel. It has a round arch of cut sandstone with holes for glazing bars. The east gable of the south aisle survives to gable height (Walsh 1888, 229-230).
