The National Monuments Service's description

The Civil survey (1654-6) mentions a 'thatched house' at Jamestown which may be on the site of Jamestown House (Simington 1945, 146). This is probably the dwelling with two chimneys owned by Edward Ellis and mentioned in the Hearth Money Roll for County Dublin, 1664 (Cary 1930-33, 421).
