The National Monuments Service's description
Annotated 'Church Well' on the 1838 ed. OSi 6-inch map where it is shown standing in NW corner of an 'Old Burying Ground' (DU014-012002-) in the NE corner of a large field annotated 'Church Field' (DU014-012001-). In 1958 the well was being used for domestic purposes and not considered to be a holy well (Ó Danachair 1958, 76). It has been removed by quarrying.
