The National Monuments Service's description

This monument was identified during monitoring (Licence no. 03E1362Ext) in advance of development. Two extended burials orientated E-W were centrally placed within the smaller of two intercutting enclosures dated to the 6th – 7th centuries. They were buried in a supine position with their heads to the W. The skeletons were partially exposed during the topsoil-stripping and were in a poor state of preservation (Moriarity 2005). The monument is preserved within the open space of Holywell housing estate.
