The National Monuments Service's description
A low flat-topped mound enclosed by a thorn hedge (Dims. N-S 15m, E-W 13m, H 1.25m). This site was excavated in 1982. The mound was formed from medieval and post medieval 'dump' material. This is possibly the remains of an ornamental feature attached to the grounds of Auburn House.
