The National Monuments Service's description
The earliest reference to a windmill appears in an Inquisition dating to the 4th of January 1613 (Hardiman 1826, Clinton, M.2005, 44). In 1666 it was listed amongst the possessions of St George Lane (D'Alton 1838). It was depicted on Rocque's map 1760. Not visible at ground level.
