The National Monuments Service's description

Named 'fort' on the 1837 OS 6-inch map. It was partly demolished in 1822 and cleared away in 1873 (Healy 1975, 24). The area has been incorporated into an extension to the recently constructed runway at Dublin Airport. Not visible at ground level.
