The National Monuments Service's description

One of two Iron Age ring ditches (see also DU007-076002-) excavated in advance of a service station on the M1 near Lusk (Reg. no. E4030). Ring-ditch 1 (7.8m external diameter) was circular shaped with a W-facing entrance (2.2m wide). No cremated bone was recovered from this ring-ditch but four artefacts were discovered including a partially decayed iron sickle head and a second fragment from a sickle (Russell 2009, 23).
