The National Monuments Service's description
In gentle undulating land on a N-facing slope. Investigations for the North-Eastern Gas Pipeline, Phase 2 in 1988 uncovered a disturbed spread of burnt mound material occurring in two areas (Gowen 1989, 13). This was fully excavated in 1999 (Conway 2000).
