The National Monuments Service's description
Excavated in advance of road construction (Licence no. 08E054), a group of pits were interpreted as representing a small industrial area of unknown date. Seven pits were identified, three of which contained lime mortar, the largest of which (1.4m x 1.1m x 0.6m deep) was lined with stone and designed to be watertight. (Bailey and Kavanagh 2010, 49)
