The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a prominent rise overlooking the coast. Shown as a bivallate enclosure marked 'Fort' on the 1837 OS 6-inch map (max. diam. c. 110m). The site was levelled in the 1970s for re-use as a town dump. Not visible at ground level. (Healy 1975, 17).
