The National Monuments Service's description
Dovecote standing on the demesne lands of Westown House which was probably built onto a medieval tower house (DU004-043001-) located 810m to the SSW. Annotated ‘Pigeon Ho.’ on the 1837 ed. OSi 6-inch map where it is depicted as a circular shaped building standing to the W of the village of ‘The Naul’ (DU004-045----). Depicted as a circular-shaped structure on the 1863 ed. OSi 25-inch map. No surface remains visible of the dovecote on the 2013-18 MapGenie aerial image. The site of the dovecote now stands on the playing field of Clann Mhuire Gaelic Football Club
