The National Monuments Service's description
Located in a large arable field the N boundary of which forms the townland boundary with Hazardstown, stream 60m to W which also forms townland boundary. Enclosure (DU004-060----) 580m to NE. Cropmark of two conjoined earthworks (DU004-096/097----) 115m to SSE. Sited on top of low hillock defined by a 200ft contour on Cassini ed. OSi 6-inch map. Positive cropmarks visible on Google Earth orthoimage taken 21/07/2021 indicate the presence of a palimpsest of subsurface features, enclosures and linear cropmarks in this large field. In N quadrant of the field there is the cropmark of a sub-rectangular shaped earthwork (ext. dims. 32m E-W x 37m N-S; int. dims. 19m E-W x 15m N-S) defined by two widely spaced cropmarks transected at W by a linear cropmark. Outline of cropmark visible on Google Earth orthoimage taken 21/07/2021. Cropmark of possible levelled moated site.
